Apologies, you'll see that Maria and I are a wee bit out of synch, I'm a bit behind! All you english speakers, next chapter coming up!
After getting the boat across the river, we took what might have been our last bumpy bumpy bus journey from Caraiva to Arraial d'Ajuda. This journey was bumpier than the others, almost like doing off-roading, and it was getting dark as well which made it even better! Arraial is a kind of summer resort the other side of the river from Porto Seguro, so we used it as a stop-over before getting the flight to Rio on the Monday (1st Nov). Our pousada was fine, nowt special, but all we needed. We headed out for a gander, and came across a wee kids playground which had a trampoline so Luis went hyper for it, again, then when his time was up, had to bribe him out, ice cream or something I think, then went to find somewhere to have dinner. When we got back, we found a bat in our room, fluttering about, which made us stop and think for a minute, but it made it's way into the bathroom. I followed it and realised that it came in through the bathroom window which was open. It found it's way back out, but I returned to the bedroom with my hands cupped tight, making out I had caught it - Maria was out the door quicker than you could say mini kievs! Ho-ho.
Breakfast next morning was another belter, filled out boots again, then it was time to head to the travel agents to book our flight for that day, then also for Rio to Iguazu and Iguazu to Buenos Aires. Job done. Not cheap mind, but had to be done! Rio, here we come........!
